LEADERSHIP & THE ROLE OF MANAGERS

Identify a health care program manager or coordinator that you would like to interview for this course. It is critical that you interview someone who can serve as a case study for your Session Long Project for Module 1–3 of this course. You should plan on a detailed interview of the person selected. You should plan on 1.5-2 hour interview with your case study. I will provide you with general guidelines for each module and you can add specific questions that are of interest to you. I recommend that you interview the individual after you are familiar with and comfortable with the entire course content as you will use the information gathered from the interview for SLPs for Modules 2 thru 5. 1.  Identify a manager or coordinator for a healthcare program that you would like to interview. 2.  In your paper please discuss your affiliation with the program manager you selected to interview. Provide demographic information on this individual (e.g., number of years in healthcare, education, management experience). Discuss his/her role and provide a brief description of the healthcare program managed and the organization itself. 3.  What  leadership characteristics does  this person display that makes for a successful program? 4.  What  management characteristics does  this person display that makes for a successful program?
